Mubadala Capital successfully closed Private Equity Fund IV with total capital commitments of US$3.1 billion, surpassing its initial target by more than US$1 billion.


The fund attracted support from new and existing limited partners across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, including sovereign wealth funds, public pension plans, university endowments, insurance companies, asset managers, and family offices.

Fund IV continues Mubadala Capital’s strategy of investing in high-quality middle-market companies across sectors such as media, sports and entertainment, consumer and food services, financial services, and business services. The fund’s portfolio includes leading businesses such as Fortress Investment Group and Canada Cartage. Recent additions include Thrive Foods, a global leader in freeze-dried food solutions, and Bugaboo, a well-known brand in juvenile products.
