Mubadala acquired majority stakes in Global Medical Solutions Company (GMSC) and International Drug Store (IDS), two leading regional healthcare distribution and logistics platforms.

The investment supports Mubadala’s strategy to build integrated health value chains across the UAE and the broader region.

GMSC operates a full-service healthcare supply chain, spanning warehousing, cold chain logistics, regulatory support, and distribution across all Emirates. IDS specializes in medical equipment and pharmaceutical product distribution, with longstanding partnerships with global healthcare manufacturers. Together, they provide end-to-end solutions for healthcare providers across public and private sectors.

For Mubadala, the acquisition enhances healthcare resilience by localizing the sourcing, storage, and distribution of essential health products. It ensures continuity of care and helps reduce reliance on global intermediaries, particularly during times of supply chain disruption.

The investment also reinforces Mubadala’s role in positioning the UAE as a regional center for advanced healthcare logistics.
