The Credit & Special Situations platform is composed of a number of integrated units that invest across a wide range of asset classes, geographies, and sectors.
The Special Situations unit manages some of the platform’s most strategic relationships—optimizing the performance of these assets, identifying and executing on proprietary co-investment opportunities sourced from them or other strategic partners. The unit also invests in GP stakes, secondaries, and opportunistic solutions across the capital structure.
The Credit Investments strategy is anchored in accessing private credit deal flow by establishing investment partnerships with top-tier credit managers and originators across geographies and asset classes—including direct lending, infrastructure and real estate debt, and technology lending, among others.
The Credit & Special Situations platform also manages a number of commercially driven, country-specific investment programs alongside global government investment institutions, with the ultimate goal of expanding into new jurisdictions and creating unique commercial partnerships.
Additionally, the platform is home to Mubadala Capital, the alternative asset management subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company. Mubadala Capital manages over US$30 billion of assets through its four investment businesses spanning various private market strategies, including private equity, special situations, solutions, and venture capital. Mubadala Capital has a team of over 200 professionals spanning five offices in Abu Dhabi, New York, London, San Francisco, and Rio de Janeiro.
